Stephen Curry reportedly suffered a serious hamstring injury in the first game of Golden State’s Warriors’ victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Golden State Warriors opened the second round of the playoff series Tuesday night with a 99-88 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, but the victory was overshadowed by Stephen Curry's worrying injury.

Curry pulled his left hamstring after trying to throw in the second quarter and was forced to leave the field. The 37-year-old player immediately signaled for a substitution and did not come back afterwards. He only played for 13 minutes, scored 13 points on 5 of 9 shots, including 3 of 6 three-pointers, another rebound and an assist. After the game, head coach Steve Cole told reporters that Curry felt "collapsed" about the injury. According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater, the Warriors officially listed Curry as a "daily watch" roster due to a hamstring strain, Curry is scheduled to undergo an MRI test on Wednesday.

Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area Channel reported that Curry returned to the locker room silently, wearing headphones, and was obviously limping on the team bus. After the game, Curry did not accept interviews with reporters.

There have been eight games this season's playoffs, and Curry averaged 22.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 47.7% from the field and 10 three-pointers, shooting 40.0% from the field.

After Stephen Curry left early in the game against the Timberwolves, Draymond Green and Buddy Hilder helped the Warriors stabilize the situation.

In the absence of Curry, the Warriors successfully stopped the Timberwolves' counterattack with the outstanding performance of veteran leaders and role players. Draymond Green contributed 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals, and made 4 of 10 three-pointers. After the game, Green accepted an interview with the media and shared his views on the moment Curry left the court.

"I didn't see what happened. I didn't see him straining his hamstring...I just saw him a little limp, so I walked over and told him to pass, and he went to the locker room." Green said. "I asked him, 'Are you okay?' and he said, 'I'll be back soon.' He kept trying, but we really didn't know what was going on for a moment - for a few minutes, I mean the game time, it's much longer, but we didn't know for a long time. In the end they told us it was a hamstring strain...it was a bit discouraged, but we knew he helped build a solid enough lead and did a great job."

Green also praised Buddy Hilder, who scored a game-high 24 points plus eight rebounds, three assists and one steal. Hilder made 7 of 19 shots and 5 of 8 three-pointers in the 40-minute game.

"Robin becomes Batman-what should I call Buddy?" Green joked, prompting Slater to suggest calling him Alfred. “Alfred becomes Robin,” Green said. “They fill the void and look so pretty.”

Golden State Warriors lead the series 1-0, but there is still doubt whether Curry will be able to play in Game 2, depending on the results of the MRI.
