"Basketball is Serbia's number one sport, and Jokic is extraordinary. Honestly, the things he does, how he does, and the way he handles personal affairs. People at first felt that he had no interest in things other than his family and horses was pretending. But in fact, he was really interested in them, which is tangible and honest. I really admire that."

Djokovic also talked about the topic of Jokic playing for his country: "Every year, we either have European Championships, World Cups, or Olympic games. There is always a question mark, 'Will he play for the national team?' There is always a discussion. People are passionate about the best players playing for our national team. It's a huge responsibility for him, I can understand him, I understand that. But he has done so much for the national team, and has done so much for basketball, which is incredible."
Speaking of Kobe, Djokovic said: "The most important thing is that what I like about Kobe is that he always strives to incorporate this energy and friendship into his interpersonal relationships. The charm he exudes and his personality are very unique. That is why people all over the world like him and always like him."
