Good mentality, Thunder coach talks about how to manage emotions when lagging behind the Pacers 1-2

Thunder head coach Mark Degnot talked about how to manage emotions while trailing the Pacers 1-2 in the NBA Finals.

Indianapolis -- As Game 4 of the NBA Finals is approaching, Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Dagnott is 1-2 behind the Indiana Pacers, about to usher in the most important game of his young coaching career. However, he is not worried about the emotional shock that an NBA team competing for the championship may bear. Not too excited after victory, nor too low after failure, Dagenut's Thunder knows how to rebound strongly in the playoffs.

Even on the most dazzling stage in the NBA, Dagnot believed that his Thunder could enter Game 4 with restrained emotions.

"You know? We'll even stay quite emotional all the time, especially when we win," said Dageno. "If you're excited when you win, the natural reaction to the contrary is to feel frustrated when you lose, and the mood of this team doesn't fluctuate violently between the two states. Never. I think it depends heavily on the personality of the players, and they do a good job in that. It's a whole new experience for us, but we're experienced and know what the end result will be."

For the Thunder in the 2024-25 season, the frustration from losing rarely continues. Thunder coach Mark Degenut's team suffered a two-game losing streak this season on November 19.

"We have to look back at yesterday's video. First, we have to understand what's going on in the game and be able to define it accurately, and then, look at what we can improve and apply those improvements in Game 4," added Degnott.

"And, we try to do it no matter what the outcome is, and we try to make it the way we operate. This will keep you the most consistent attitude of all the emotional ups and downs of the season, the playoff series, and the team does a great job in that," concluded Dagnott.

Shay Gilgers-Alexander strikes back against Thunder reporters

Although some believe that Pacers defender Andrew Nemhard's defense angered Thunder All-Star Shay Gilgers-Alexander in Game 3, Gilgers-Alexander firmly denies that he is dissatisfied with Nemhard.

Gilgers Alexander completely denied the journalist's observational inquiry when reporters claimed that Shay Gilgers Alexander had clearly felt the worst frustration since the entire playoffs.

"I don't know what you are talking about," replied Gilgers-Alexander. “I’m not excited at all, so I don’t know what’s going on.”

Gilgers Alexander and the Thunder will tie the Pacers 2-2 in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
