After the end of the 2021-22 season, 14 players in the Lakers' roster failed to stay in the NBA in the following season, the highest record since the league's 1950.

This season, the Lakers achieved 33 wins and 49 losses, ranking 11th in the West and missed the playoffs. The 14 players are:

Every Bradley, Carmelo Anthony, Chandi Brown, DJ Augustine, Darren Collison, Dwight Howard, Isaiah Thomas, Jamerio Jones, Kent Bazemore, Mason Jones, Rajon Rondo, Segu Dunbuya, Trevor Ariza, and Wayne Ellington.
