Interestingly, the Timberwolves fines amount this season is very considerable

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has fined enough this season to buy a pretty good house in Minneapolis.

Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards is outspoken, and while fans like him because of this, the NBA usually doesn't pay much attention to Edwards' words. Edwards' foul language has attracted particular attention from the NBA, which has imposed fines on several occasions.

After the Timberwolves' first game, Edwards said at a post-match press conference that he "she's 13 goals." The remarks resulted in a fine of $50,000 from the NBA for "using foul language in media interviews."

However, these fines are not new to Edwards. Edwards has been fined more than a dozen times this season, including fines related to technical fouls, expulsions and his rude gestures and remarks.

Brian Windhorst, Tim McMahon and Tim Bontemps of "The Hoop Collective" are also aware of this and knowing that Edwards refused to be interviewed by the media after the second game.

"Do you remember the incident with Marshawn Lynch in the Super Bowl? He said, 'I'm here just to not be fined.' I think Ant did the opposite. Ant means, 'I'm not here just to not be fined.'" Windhorst said.

McMahon replied: "Or 'Hey, you punish me for saying I'm going to, or maybe I'm going to be fined for not saying I'm going to say, but you can do it.'"

Winderhorst said Edwards' total fine this year has reached $430,000, although that may underestimate the actual amount. Spotrac lists each fine and suspension penalty and the corresponding amount. According to statistics, Edwards' total fine this season is $514,393. The fine may include revoked technical fouls, including Edwards' 18th technical foul. If the original verdict is maintained, Edwards will not be able to participate in the Timberwolves' season finale.

Edwards' maximum single fine this season is $243,393, the result of his automatic ban on the game after his 16th technical foul this season. This season, he was fined between $35,000 and $50,000 for using vulgar language and gestures on the court.

However, the biggest problem Edwards and the Timberwolves faced was a 0-2 series loss in the Western Conference Finals. The Oklahoma City Thunder easily scored double-digit home wins in the first round of the series, which puts huge pressure on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who must win the next two games to avoid being swept or suffer a horrible 1-3 defeat when returning to Oklahoma City.
