The famous reporter said that the Knicks will postpone the renewal of Bridges contract with Bridges

NBA reporter Ashish Mathur published an article on Hoops Wire that the New York Knicks will suspend the contract renewal with Mikal Bridges until they confirm that Giannis Antetokounmpo is 100% sure to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks. Antetokounmpo has not yet made a trade request to the Bucks, but the Knicks will be pursuing the future Hall of Fame member if he asks.

The article said that SNY TV reporter Ian Begley previously said on the show "The Putback": "The Knicks and all other teams are closely watching the movements in Milwaukee and what may or may not happen there. I think one of the reasons why Bridges has not been renewed so far is that once you renew his contract, you will not be able to trade him in the next six months. I think before Antetokounmpo's case is completely resolved - although I'm sure Bucks fans don't want to hear this, or I don't want it - but I don't think it's completely settled."

It is worth mentioning that Bridges is currently eligible to renew the contract with the Knicks. He can sign up to a four-year maximum salary contract worth $156 million.
