The NBA Trail Blazers are actively promoting forward Grant s trade; hope to exchange for potential players or draft picks

Basketball

On June 13, the NBA Trail Blazers revealed with the team reporter: The team management is actively promoting the trade of forward Grant in the offseason, and has actively contacted multiple teams in the league, hoping to get young potential to develop players or more future draft picks. At the same time, they hope to take over other additional player contracts from the Trail Blazers. The Trail Blazers will continue to aim for reconstruction next season.

31-year-old Grant plays as a forward position and plays for the NBA Trail Blazers in 2024-2025. He has played in a total of 44 games in the regular season this season, averaging 32.4 minutes per game, scoring 14.4 points + 3.5 rebounds + 2.1 assists + 0.9 steals + 0.1 blocks, shooting percentage of 37.0%, three-point shooting percentage of 36.0%, and free throw shooting percentage of 84.0%.

Grant currently has three years of $102.6 million in contract with the Trail Blazers, with an annual salary of $32 million next season, and the next two seasons will be $34.21 million and $36.41 million respectively. Grant's performance in the Trail Blazers in recent seasons has not been satisfactory. On the one hand, the team has been rebuilding and constantly changing experimental lines; on the other hand, he has lost the motivation to move forward in the team. If he can join a team that has the chance to advance to the playoffs, Grant is in his first year of playing and believes that he can still score 18+5, and his career three-point shooting percentage is also remarkable.
