July 24th, Spotac reporter Keith Smith interviewed several insiders of the Trail Blazers during the Las Vegas Summer League.

About the selection of Yang Hansen: "I know you don't like this choice (laughs), but we are optimistic about him. In today's NBA, your big player must be versatile and capable of multiple tasks. We think Yang will be of great help to the team, and may be faster than most people expect." A Trail Blazers executive said.

About Staying Damian Lillard: "We know it's a great story and are excited about it. But what makes us even more excited is that we can stay on the team to coach these young players. He will be of great help to them. Next year, after another year of improvement, we will definitely explode," said a Trail Blazers executive.

About balancing veterans and young players: "We feel that the team was a bit too young before. A year ago we saw tangible progress, part of which is thanks to the veterans. This year we look forward to continuing this momentum. Moreover, the veterans in the team are all people with noble character, and young players will definitely be infected by this professional attitude and keep up with their pace." A coach of the Trail Blazers said.

About Tumani Kamala: "Last year he was able to get some recognition, which is very important for him personally and for our team. Tumani is really outstanding. We hope to negotiate and keep him in Portland for a long time," said a Trail Blazers executive.
