Wade: When the military base was training, Spoel never separated me and James on the same team

Recently, Miami Heat legend Dwyne Wade recently recalled on a podcast that after LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined in 2010, the team held a highly militarized training camp at the military base in Pensacola, Florida. He bluntly stated that "there is no conditions for enjoyment", there is no cold/hot water pool, sauna and steam room, and the food, accommodation, work and rest are implemented in accordance with military regulations, but it is this "devil training" that trains the whole team into a "our attitude towards the whole world" and lays the foundation for the subsequent victory in the championship.

Wade specifically mentioned that his confrontation with James in the military camp was extremely fierce. Head coach Eric Spoelstra deliberately "disassembled Zhan Wei" and never divided the two into the same team, but arranged them to face the position head-on, "every day is like fighting." Wade admitted that he was only 6 feet 4 inches, "This guy (LeBron) is too big for me, I can't defend him at all." The two often "killed red-eyed" in training. Spoo stimulates competition through this "that best ignites each other's matchup", and the whole team is pushed to its limit in high-intensity defensive training.

In addition, Haslem is also full of gunpowder and Bosh; the team's training almost "only only practices defense", resulting in the offense falling behind the pace for a while. Wade also recalled that Patrick Beverly performed tough at that time, and the team was optimistic that he would stay in the team, but from the perspective of lineup matching (the point guard needs to stabilize the outside shooting), he was unable to stay.

"That was really hard," Wade concluded, "but it pushed our mentality, defense and competition to the extreme - that was one of the reasons we were able to reach the Finals that year."
