Why Anthony cannot leave Manchester United

Betis Chairman Angel Harrow and sporting director Manu Fahado recently publicly stated that introducing Manchester United striker Anthony is a complex and time-consuming project.

Fajado emphasized that signing Anthony is much more than an ordinary transfer operation, but also a difficult financial challenge. He said: "We must clearly realize that this is a very complex deal. Considering Anthony's performance at Betis, it is not easy to complete this negotiation. Despite the difficulties, we will try various possible ways to advance, but it will never damage the club's stability."

Last season's winter window, Anthony was loaned to Betis by Manchester United. He made 26 appearances in half a season, contributed 9 goals and 5 assists, and helped the team enter the European League finals historic. His good performance in Spain has won the recognition of the club's management and fans.

Chairman Harrow also said: "We still need to maintain consistent fiscal discipline. For Betis, sustainable development is always the most important principle. We will not make irrational decisions. Our signing budget this year may be slightly higher than last year, but we will still spend rationally. We are good at selling players at reasonable prices and making smart investments."

It is reported that Anthony himself is willing to accept a 30% salary cut to promote the transfer. However, Manchester United insisted on a fee of at least €50 million before agreeing to release the person, which is undoubtedly a huge obstacle for Betis, who has limited financial resources.

Rejected other offers, waiting for Betis to move

Previously, there was news that Italian promoted Como had invited Anthony, but he had declined and hoped to stay in La Liga. At present, the Brazil international is still waiting for further response from Betis.
