Because the contract that can be signed is too cheap, Reeves is not expected to renew the contract with the Lakers in advance!
June 4th, labor and capital agreement expert BobbyMarks has compiled a list of stars who can renew their contracts in advance this summer.
Among them, Lakers guard Reeves is not expected to renew his contract with the team in advance this summer. Due to the restrictions of the labor-management agreement, the largest early contract renewal that Reeves can receive from the Lakers this summer is 4 years and $89.2 million. Therefore, he is not expected to accept this early contract renewal and will reject the player option for the 2026-27 season and test the free market in the 2026 offseason.
Marks said Reeves' bargaincontract will play a considerable role in his above-mentioned series of operations.
In the 2024-25 season, Reeves played 73 regular season games, averaging 20.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game; in the playoffs, Reeves played 5 times, averaging 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
