Clarkston High School No. 33 jersey retired, Nets official media and alma mater sent congratulations

Nets' official Twitter post, congratulations to Clarkston's high school jersey retirement.

The high school where Clarkston attended wrote: "2017 graduate Nicholas Clarkston is a true example of excellence. His deep sense of responsibility to his family, friends and community inspires each of us. We are honored to retire his No. 33 jersey, a permanent tribute to an outstanding role model who proves to us that greatness sets sail from here!" The official Nets' official post wrote: "Congratulations Clarkston! His high school retired his jersey this week, which is a proud moment."

Clarkston attended the Heritage Charter School in high school. In his senior year, he averaged 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, making him the fourth player in school history to score more than 1,000 points in total. After graduating from high school, Clarkston entered the University of Georgia and participated in the NBA Draft in 2019, and was selected by the Nets with the 31st overall pick in the second round.
