Spurs' talented player Victor Vinbanyama has been allowed to return to the field after experiencing a deep vein thrombosis in the shoulder. He may have looked better than ever after a colorful and unusual offseason.

In recent months, Wenban Yama has traveled around, and last month he also went to Shaolin Temple in China. This historic temple welcomes tourists who want to learn meditation, Shaolin Kung Fu, traditional Chinese medicine and other contents.

Wenbanyama said in an interview with Maxim Aubin, a reporter from Team Newspaper, that he spent time learning Kung Fu and Buddhism-related content, but he also clarified that he had not converted to Buddhism.

He said: "We experienced the life of a monk there, which combines Buddhist practice with high-intensity kung fu training, which is very difficult. We were exposed to some movements that we had never done before. Thousands of kicks, jumps, balance training and stretching every day."

He also added: "We used muscles that we rarely used, and these muscles quickly overloaded. I experienced some of the worst muscle soreness in my life."

After high-intensity training in China, Wenban Yama went to Japan for a vacation. But don't expect it to be a one-time experience.

Who knows the 21-year-old will soon know that he is eager to push his limits both physically and mentally. According to ESPN's Michael Wright, Wenban Yama specially chose to go to Shaolin Temple to train in order to challenge his own limits and gain a deeper self-awareness.

According to ESPN, Vinban Yama gained a lot from that training, which he thought would be good for him.

Wenban Yama believes that in addition to improving his mental concentration, kung fu training also helps him better understand his body posture and range of movement, skills that may give him an advantage on the basketball court.

Before being absent due to injury in February, Wenban Yama had excellent data performance, averaging 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.8 blocks and 3.7 assists per game.
