October 6th News Today, a former NBA player and famous speaker Tim Legler talked about the training intensity of NBA teams in the 1990s when participating in the podcast ALLNBA Podcast.

"In the 1990s when I was playing, if the first day of training camp started, not only would you be in great pain, but your performance would be affected. The training intensity was extremely high at that time, and the players would start to worry a week before the start of training camp. We used to run a mile (1.6km) timed running the day before the start of training camp, and the training included a lot of full-contact confrontation and high-intensity running, which was the case for several consecutive days. There was not a day off until the fourth or fifth day. Now the training camp is completely different, players just need to appear in a better state and then gradually adjust to their best shape over the next three weeks. Some veterans don't even participate in any games throughout the preseason, let alone load management or something like that." Tim Legler said.
