James is most likely to join the Knicks? The Cavaliers are still the most popular destination. The Warriors are fourth and the Rockets are seventh.

On October 17, in a recent podcast, the famous reporter O'Connor and ESPN salary expert Marks agreed that if James really wants to leave the Lakers, the New York Knicks will be his most likely next home.

"If it was a direct deal, you would definitely think of New York first, and that's possible," Marks said.

"I think it's the Knicks, too," O'Connor added. O'Connor then expanded on what it might mean for James if he were to join the Knicks.

"That's Madison Square Garden. He has always said that this is his favorite arena. If he can help the Knicks win the championship for the first time in decades, he can become the so-called 'savior.'"

Marks mentioned that the Knicks not only have suitable contract space, but also have enough lineup depth to facilitate such a deal. Everyone can't help but think that inside player Towns, whose salary this season is US$53.1 million, is likely to be involved in this deal. If Towns is not sent away, one of Anunoby or Bridges can be included in the trade chip. Even so, they can still retain a considerable lineup that is enough to be competitive in the Eastern Conference.

However, in terms of the latest odds of James' next home, the Knicks are temporarily ranked third. The first place is still James' hometown team Cavaliers, and the Mavericks, with two former teammates, Irving and Big Eyebrow, ranked second. The latest odds ranking is as follows -

1. Cavaliers (+100), 2. Mavericks (+200), 3. Knicks (+500), 4. Warriors (+700), 5. Bucks (+900), 6. Pelicans (+1400), 7. Rockets (+1800), 8. Live Boston (+2000), 9. Timberwolves (+2200), 10. Nuggets (+2500), 11. Clippers (+2800), 12. Spurs (+3300), 13. Pacers (+4000), 14. Heat (+4500), 15. Raptors (+5000).

James is currently affected by sciatica and is sidelined. Famous reporter Shams reported that he is expected to return around mid-November.
