Lakers Summer League Roster Announced: Brownie Neckett Leads, No. 36 Absent due to knee injury
On July 3, the Lakers announced the roster and schedule of the 25th Summer League, with the names of Kneckett and Brownie on the list. As the Lakers' sophomore players, they will lead the generals.
The specific list is as follows:
36 Dalius-Bazley
26 RJ-Davis
43 Eric Dixon
45 Dajuan Gordon
9 Brownie James
55 Trae-Jimison
38 Ty Johnson
65 Arthur Kalma
4 Kneckett
31 Matthew Leonis
No. 29 Sam Goal can add
50 Julian Rees
40 Hijabari Les
27 DJ Stward
41 Cole Sved
54 Ethan Taylor
On this list, we can see many familiar figures. Kneckett, Brownie, and Jamison are all roster players in the 24-25 season. Cole Sved also competed for the Lakers with two-way contract players in the 22-23 season.
In addition, we also saw the former Thunder No. 23 pick Bazley appear on the roster. He briefly left the league after being cut by the Jazz in the offseason last year and once joined the CBA Guangdong Hongyuan and is now working to return to the league.
In this list, RJ Davis and Eric Dixon are both undrafts this year and are the targets of the Lakers' focus in the summer league. Dixon is also the NCAA's scoring leader, with a three-point shooting percentage of up to 41%.
The Lakers' only No. 36 pick to be selected with a draft pick this year, Adu Tiero, is not on the roster. The wing defensive player is currently in the recovery stage due to a knee injury. He will miss the entire summer league, but he is expected to return before the Lakers' training camp begins. The Lakers will play two rounds of summer league games. They will first play the California Classic from July 6-9, with their opponents being the Warriors, Heat and Spurs one by one, and then play the Las Vegas Summer League from July 11 to 18, with their opponents being the Mavericks, Pelicans, Clippers and Celtics one by one, among which the Mavericks are regarded as a heavy battle with Brownie and the new No. 1 pick Flagg.
