Losing again, after the Celtics lost to the Knicks in the second game, the home stadium was evacuated due to a fire
After the Celtics lost to the Knicks in the second game, TD Garden Arena staff had to evacuate the people in the field due to an emergency.
The Boston Celtics lost 90-91 to the New York Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, and something strange happened to the TD Garden Arena. Shortly after the game, due to a fire, the stadium staff had to evacuate the fans on the field. According to Celtics reporter Noah Dalzer, a security guard told her and the media that a fire broke out inside the stadium. Fred Katz of The Athletic shared his thoughts on the matter.
"An emergency occurred at the TD Garden Arena in Boston. The fire alarm sounded and the building was evacuated urgently. They announced that they were banned from taking the elevator. The ending tonight was so wonderful," Katz said.
Celtics' next trend
Celtics lost both home games and fell behind the Knicks 0-2. What happened at TD Garden Arena after the game undoubtedly made it difficult for Boston fans to accept the ending of this night.
The Celtics also suffered a crushing defeat in Game 1 and 2. Despite being 20 points ahead in both games, they collapsed at the last moment, and the Knicks fought back and lost both games, forcing Boston into a desperate situation.
The Celtics' signature high three-point shooting brought them a historic blow. They made numerous attempts outside the three-point line, but they also missed a lot, setting an NBA record they shouldn't have set.
Celtics have four players scoring in double digits. Derek White led the game, scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. He made 6 of 17 shots in the game, including 3 of 11 shots from outside the three-point line and 5 of 5 free throws. Following closely behind is Jaylen Brown, with 20 points and 6 rebounds; Tatum scored 13 points and 14 rebounds; Ju Holiday scored 10 points and 5 assists.
The Celtics will play against the Knicks in Game 3, striving to rebound strongly. The competition will be held at 3:30 pm ET on May 10.
