Texas flood Rockets + Mavericks + Spurs jointly donate over $2 million
July 8th According to CBS, as of the 7th local time, floods in central Texas in the United States killed at least 104 people and dozens of people were still missing. The NBA teamed up with a Texas-based team announced that it will jointly donate more than $2 million to help people affected by floods in the region.
The Mavericks, Rockets, Spurs and the NBPA (Players Union) are working together to provide more than $2 million in aid to the rescue fund. In the NFL, the league foundation, the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans donated $1.5 million.
MLB, Houston Astronauts promised to donate $1 million.
