"This experience is indeed unusual, I have never encountered it before. This is the first time I was fired - when I was in the Australian Youth Team, my contract expired. I was mentally prepared, but this time is different. And this is also the first time I have had a full offseason: I spent four or five weeks with my family, and I have never had such an opportunity before. To be honest, this period is as difficult for them as I do. But like you said, I will also think about where the next opportunity is. But I never think about it because my previous opportunities often come from unexpected places. I know very well, What I long for is a club that can continue my career trajectory - that is, a platform that can keep me pursuing victory. This is very important to me. I am not saying that the Forest is now capable of winning the championship, but they have such ambitions. If you asked me at the beginning of the year, "Will you go to Nottingham Forest?" I would definitely say 'Impossible' - after all, Nuno did a good job at the time, and the team was in the upward period. But the opportunity came, and I would be happy to catch it."

For you, I just experienced the previous changes and played away against Arsenal in the first game. Is this a "special arrangement"?

"This is the situation, there is no way. Moreover, three of our first four games of the season were away games, so I went to see Arsenal's home game today - I may not have a chance to go again in the next period of time. But it doesn't matter, every game in the Premier League is not easy to play, whether the opponent is a championship team or a team fighting for relegation.

This game is really interesting. Mikel (Arteta) has led the team very well. They have also strengthened the team in the summer, and their strength is stronger than last season. For us, this will be a great challenge."

You mentioned before that I participated in the documentary shooting after leaving Tottenham. Can you tell me what I felt at that time? Do you think (fired) is unfair? Have you ever felt disappointed?

"That time was really hard, but I had a premonition, so I was not surprised - before the last game of the season, I knew I was leaving. But we won the trophy and held a championship parade. Those three days were very beautiful, and I didn't want the follow-up to destroy that memory. After the parade, I knew everything was over, so I had time to digest it.

Whether it was "unfair" depends on how others judged - after all, it was the decision made by others, and they had to ask them the reasons. But I knew very well that although the two years at Tottenham were full of challenges, I worked with outstanding colleagues in the club's management and experienced difficult moments with the fans. Every time I meet A Tottenham fans wanted to hug me and even invited me to have dinner at home - which shows that I must have done something right. After all, this is the meaning of our work. I am proud of my achievements at Tottenham, and that experience will always occupy a special place in my heart.

As for the ending, I don't care much anymore. To be honest, I have experienced similar things myself: they were disappointed when they left the Celtics; and when they left the Yokohama Mariners, the fans were reluctant to leave. So I understand that this is part of the football industry. But it is also because of this that I have the opportunity to come to the forest - maybe there are reasons for things happening."

Can you tell me about how you feel when you work with Daniel Levi? Are you surprised when he stepped down as chairman?

"I don't think this occasion is suitable for talking about him in detail. To be honest, Daniel and I don't have much direct communication - I am used to focusing on my daily work and doing what I should do. He has been at Tottenham for a long time and has devoted a lot of effort to the club building. And he appointed me, so I am very grateful and hope to repay him with a trophy they haven't won in years."
