Battle against Ireland and Armenia! Official Portuguese Football Association: Announcement of the new squad on November 7
October 29th: The Portuguese national team officially announced that it will announce the squad for the matches against the Republic of Ireland and Armenia on November 7th.
In the official statement, the Portuguese national team coach Roberto Martinez will announce the 2026 World Cup qualifying squad at 12:30 local time on November 7 (Friday). The Portuguese team will face Ireland and Armenia.
The Portuguese team will play away against Ireland in the fifth round at 19:45 local time on November 13 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. At 14:00 on November 16, the Portuguese team will sit at the Dragon Stadium to face the Armenian team, the last opponent in the qualifiers.
In this World Cup qualifier jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, Hungary is Portugal's other opponent in Group F. Portugal has 10 points after 4 rounds, 5 points ahead of Hungary, second in the group.
