Among the last eight candidates for the Premier League Player of the Year Award, Liverpool players exclusively occupied three of them, while Chelsea's Palmer was once again selected for the Premier League's Best Young Player Award. The list of candidates for the Premier League Player of the Year Award was released on Thursday local time. There are 8 players on the campaign list, three of which are from Liverpool, namely Van Dijk, Salah and Garkepo. Van Dijk has participated in all Liverpool games this season and has helped Liverpool keep the goal 14 times. In terms of the number of games, Gakebo is not inferior, and he has only missed one game this season. Salah's performance this season is even more amazing. Liverpool's 46 goals are all related to him, and he scored 28 goals, temporarily ranking first in the Premier League scorer list.

Apart from Liverpool, Nottingham Forest is the only team with more than one player in the last eight of the shortlist, with Gibbs White and Chris Wood participating in the competition. The latter has been very smooth this season, scoring 20 goals in 34 games in the Premier League. The other three selected players are Isaac, who scored 23 goals for Newcastle United this season and Arsenal midfielder Rice.

In terms of Premier League Young Player of the Year, Chelsea's Palmer beat the heroes to the end last year and was nominated this year, striving to win another season of awards. The remaining selected players include Liverpool's Garkepo, Ipswich's Taylor, Nottingham Forest's Ellanda, Bournemouth's Wyson, Brighton's Joao Pedro, Aston Villa's Morgan Rodgers, and Arsenal's Saliba.
