Manchester United contacts Serie A goalkeeper

Football

A report said Manchester United had contacted Torino on goalkeeper Vanya Milinkovic-Savic as the future of Andre Onana became increasingly uncertain.

After a nightmare first season at Old Trafford, with high-profile turnovers everywhere, Onana seemed to have found her place at the start of the season. But the Cameroon international later returned to old habits, making three mistakes in the Premier League alone this season, resulting in goals.

As Altay Bayindir failed to inspire when entering the team, Manchester United is expected to assess their goalkeeper by the summer and may enter the market to find a brand new goalkeeper.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Turin's Milinkovic Savic has been "added to the roster" by Manchester United, and the huge 6-foot-8 goalkeeper has impressed in Serie A in recent seasons. Milinkovic Savic, a Serbian international who has made 19 appearances for the national team, played for Alsiral by his brother Sergey, and scored 10 clean sheets in the Italian top league this season and saved four penalty kicks. Manchester United has “asked” information about the 28-year-old’s worth, as people are increasingly expected to leave Turin this summer, and the Red Devils have yet to make a final decision on Onana and Bayindier. The Saudi professional league clubs are still interested in the former, and the latter may move elsewhere to seek more time for play.

Millinkovic Savage is expected to be interested in transfer to Old Trafford, but Manchester United must first decide what direction they are going to take in the goalkeeper situation. Ruben Amorin may be eager to sign his goalkeeper, who inherited Onana and Bayindir from the former regime, but Manchester United has a range of areas to strengthen in the summer transfer market. At the end of the season, there are many positions that may need to be strengthened.

As for Milinkovic Savic, there is a connection between the Turin goalkeeper and many Premier League clubs. Both Chelsea and Manchester City have been touted as suitors by reports elsewhere.
