Official: 39-year-old former Slovak international defender Hupokan retires after the end of this season
On May 11, Slovakia team Jilina official news, 39-year-old defender and former Slovak international Hupokan will retire after the end of this season, and the league with Streda next weekend will be the last game of his career.
Hupokan comes from Jilina youth training. He mainly plays as a central defender and is competent for full-back. He has also played for Moras, Zenit, Dynamo Moscow, Marseille, Trabzon Sports, Omonia and Polemidio in his career. The player will transfer back to Jilina in September 2023.
Hupokan won the UEFA Cup ×1, European Super Cup ×1, Russian Super Cup ×2, Russian Cup ×1, Russian Super Cup ×2, Jilina won the Slovak Top League Championship ×1, and Cyprus Top League Championship ×1, Cyprus Cup ×1, Cyprus Super Cup ×1. At the national team level, Hupokan made his first appearance in the Slovak national team on December 10, 2006. He played in 73 games in various competitions and had 2 assists.
