Official: Galatasaray signs Trabzon Sports goalkeeper Chakir for 27.5 million euros
September 2nd Galatasaray officially announced that Trabzon Sports goalkeeper Chakir joined the team.
Galatasaray issued an announcement confirming an agreement with Trabzon Sports on the transfer of 29-year-old goalkeeper Chakir, with a transfer fee of 27.5 million euros + value-added tax.
Galatasaray signed with Chakir until the end of the 2029-2030 season. The player's fixed annual salary after tax was 110 million Turkish lira (2.3 million euros) in the first season, an increase of 100 million Turkish lira each year, and the fixed annual salary in the 2029-2030 season reached 150 million Turkish lira (3.1 million euros).
Chakir played 43 games for Trabzon Sports last season and conceded 52 goals. He is also the goalkeeper of the Turkish national team.
