The outside world demands ban on Israel, Infantino: FIFA cannot solve geopolitical problems
October 4: Infantino is facing this pressure in the conflict between Pakistan and Israel. Infantino responded at the FIFA Council meeting.
Infantino said: "At FIFA, we are committed to using the power of football to unite people in this divided world.
"We are concerned about the victims of many conflicts around the world today, and the most important message that football can convey at this moment is peace and solidarity.
"FIFA cannot solve geopolitical problems, but it can and must promote football around the world, with the help of the solidarity, education, culture and humanitarian values contained in football." Afterwards, Infantino met with the President of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA) at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich.
