Hupu, October 15th, The Sun’s Greek reporter Kostas Lianos exclusively reported that Liverpool is about to sign a Premier League record-breaking jersey sponsorship agreement—the club hopes to receive an annual sponsorship fee of 70 million pounds from the next agreement.

The Premier League champion's current front-of-shirt sponsor is international bank Standard Chartered Bank, and the agreement will last until the summer of 2027.

Standard Chartered Bank has the priority to evaluate whether they are willing to continue to be the club's long-term title sponsor, and Liverpool executives are about to initiate negotiations.

According to The Sun, Liverpool may soon reach an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank. However, Liverpool will not rule out other options, including other major banks.

The Reds have been wearing red jerseys with the name of Standard Chartered since 2010, and the current contract between the two parties is worth £50 million per year to Slott's team.

However, after winning the title last season, the club spent £450 million to sign some of the hottest young players in the world, including Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitic, giving the club confidence that it can continue to challenge for important trophies.

Liverpool's arch-rivals Manchester United (who visit Anfield on Sunday) and Manchester City currently have the richest shirt deals in the Premier League.

Both clubs generate an annual revenue of £60 million from shirt chest sponsorship.
