Tatum is working hard during the recovery period! The devil s rehabilitation training plan is exposed, this is what a superstar looks like

Chattanooga, Tennessee, recently witnessed a secret training by Jason Tatum—local athletes witnessed first-hand how the Celtic superstar recovered from Achilles tendon.

Jason Tatum is often criticized for his "soft-footed foot" but in the Eastern Conference semi-finals last season, the leading striker took on the team. In the fourth game against the Knicks, he scored 42 points (16 of 28 shots) in 40 minutes, plus 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks, which is a dominant performance.

Unfortunately, this highlight has become his best song in recent months. The 2024 champion and four-time All-Team forward suffered a tear of right Achilles tendon at the end of the game on May 12, and could only watch the Celtics fight hard without him - the team lost to the Knicks in six games. Before being injured, Tatum showed a warrior-like fighting spirit; and during the long and painful recovery period, his ruthlessness did not diminish at all.

27-year-old Tatum only wants to recover and return to the team as soon as possible, and has never been shaken by difficulties. When attending the wedding of former teammate Kemba Walker last week, he specially found a training ground in advance - showing his importance to recovery.

Through the arrangement of Celtics doctor Nick San (with Tatum) he was able to train at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, which is only 20 minutes' drive from the wedding venue (Trenton, Georgia). The school’s men’s basketball team members and other athletes were fortunate to observe the superstar’s training routine up close.

Although he could not sprint with all his might, Tatum's condition still amazed the varsity players who had just finished their offseason training.

"The most amazing thing is that as soon as he came to say hello and put a few photos together, he immediately started training," Chattanooga defender Parker Robinson told Jay King of TheAthletic. "It can be seen how serious he is about this injury - lying on the training bed, and the team doctor immediately started to do rehabilitation and Achilles tendon intensive training."

Tatum received massage first, had elastic band training, and then exercised upper limb strength. Although he has not yet shown the steps and explosive power that has made him at the top of the league, his concentration impressed everyone present.

"He is highly concentrated throughout the whole process," said Robinson. "He never stumbles when he is resting between groups, and his mind is full of training goals."

Celtic fans are looking forward to Tatum returning to the team, but his return schedule has not been determined yet. It is generally believed that he will miss the entire 2025-26 season. Without this "all-round king", the team's hope of winning the championship was greatly reduced, and they could only rely on MVP Jaylen Brown in the finals and strong defender Derek White to lead the team to support the scene.

Despite the difficult road ahead, the star wearing the No. 0 jersey still remains ambitious. Perhaps he himself didn't realize that this training gave Chattanooga players a vivid lesson.

"I just want the players to see... Even he is training hard to get back," said Chattanooga strength coach Kevin Rodriguez. "This professional attitude - 'spend two to three hours a day to polish the body just for a comeback' - is the concept we instill in the players."

Chattanooga men's basketball team just won the NIT championship last season and is preparing for the new season. Tatum's training may have a profound impact on their locker room, making this team harder to deal with.
