Zhang Boyuan joined Mega Veritas and was once named a four-star high school student
On August 27, 2025, Veritas, a US high school official announced that China's 18-year-old potential star Zhang Boyuan joined. Veritas High School will compete in the strongest high school league in the United States, Eybl.
Veritas officially announced: "Welcome Zhang Boyuan from 6 feet 8 inches (2 meters 03), 2026 class Zhang Boyuan and China's No. 1 high school students to join the Veritas family. Next stop, California! For the dream of basketball, I promise to join the Veritas Academy. Go all out."
Zhang Boyuan is 18 years old and has been named a four-star high school student by the well-known American website ON3 Sports. He has previously represented the Chinese National Youth Team in the U16 Asian Youth Championship (2023), the U17 World Youth Championship &U18 Asian Cup (2024) and the U19 World Youth Championship (2025).
The American draft website NBA Draft Room previously updated the 2028 NBA mock draft, and Chinese young player Zhang Boyuan was predicted to be selected in the 30th pick.
