Deschamps talks about Rabiot: I only care about what he has done for the French national team; what else can it bring

August 28th, French national team coach Deschamps talked about his reasons for calling Rabiot in an interview.

Rabiot fought with his teammates in the locker room after the first round of the Ligue 1 this season, and was therefore excluded from the first team list by the Marseille club. Marseille hopes to sell Rabiot. However, Rabiot was selected for the new roster of the French national team and will participate in the two World Cup qualifiers in early September.

Deschamps said: "I had a few exchanges with Rabiot, but I didn't ask too much about the details. He was ready and played in the first league, but something we didn't want to happen... Obviously, it was not an easy situation for him to deal with."

Deschamps also talked about Rabiot's transfer rumors: "I don't know what will happen from now until next Monday (the last day of the summer transfer period), but then his situation will be clear. It's not easy to deal with this situation, especially with the high attention of the media."

Finally, Deschamps said: "I only care about Rabiot's ability, what he has done for us, what else he can bring to us. It's always good that he can be with us."
