The Madrid Regional Government has invested 2 million euros to comprehensively upgrade the safety and facilities of the historic stadium.

This project renovated the stadium ceiling, repaired several exterior walls facing the stadium, and reserved a display area for the century-old murals produced by the club and the fans on one of the exterior walls. In addition, the entrance was transformed into a safety ladder with an accessible platform, and the bathroom and air conditioning systems on the site were also upgraded. The Madrid Regional Government promises to continue to cooperate with the club and LALIGA to promote the subsequent comprehensive renovation of the stadium.

Last season, Vallecas Stadium was ranked 8th in La Liga and qualified for the European Union playoffs. Due to UEFA's relevant sanctions, Vallecano's opponent, Belarusian team Grodnoniman, was unable to play in his own country. The first round was therefore arranged to play in Hungary's neutral position, and Vallecano won 1-0. The
