First meet in seven years! Manchester United is expected to gather three Premier League strong players this summer, replicating the operation of Ferguson s era

After ranking 15th in the Premier League last season, Manchester United had to adopt radical strategies in this summer's transfer window.

League rankings are in the middle and lower reaches, and the season is not won. Coupled with the many turmoils outside the court, fans are almost not optimistic about the 2025/26 season when Manchester United opens the summer window.

In the UEFA Cup final held in Bilbao, Manchester United lost to Tottenham Hotspur 1-0, completely losing the qualification for the Champions League next season - this is the first time the team has missed the European Cup since the 2014/15 season.

After missing the top European club competition, the most worrying thing is this summer's transfer window. Due to the inability to provide qualifications for the European war, the outside world is worried that Manchester United will struggle in the transfer market.

However, less than four weeks before the transfer deadline on September 1, Manchester United is still expected to usher in the most successful summer window in years - thanks in large part to their regaining of their former signing blueprint.

Last season, Manchester United's goal difference was -10, so this summer's transfer window reasonably focused on offensive players. He has signed Mattus Cunha from Wolves and introduced Brian Mbemo from Brentford.

These two players were one of the best performers in the Premier League last season, scoring a total of 35 league goals. Manchester United quickly finalized Cunha, and activated his 62.5 million pound termination clause on the day the transfer window opened; then targeted Mbemo and successfully signed last month.

Cunia is familiar with the three-back system and is the perfect candidate for the 10th position on the left in Ruben Amorin's tactics; while Mbemo can provide multi-functional options on the offensive end. Both players have the ability to score, and before signing with Manchester United, they had rumors with Premier League clubs that could participate in the Champions League next season, but eventually chose to sign a long-term contract with Old Trafford.

Cunha, who completed the transfer on June 12, is the first attacker to permanently sign from the Premier League opponent since signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January 2018.

Manchester United invested a huge amount of money in the 2017/18 season and completed four major signings, three of which came from Premier League teams. Before signing Sanchez in the middle of the season, Romelu Lukaku and Nemana Matic joined from Everton and Chelsea respectively.

After signing these three players, Manchester United has not signed three Premier League players in the same transfer window. However, as the team becomes interested in Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, the situation may change before the end of this summer's transfer window.

Despite prioritizing the introduction of attackers this summer, Manchester United still hopes to strengthen the midfield before the transfer window is closed in early September. The team's midfield lacks vitality and aggressiveness, so it is crucial to introduce a new midfielder.

21-year-old Baleba joined Brighton from Lille in 2023, and has since improved in form, becoming one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League. According to TheAthletic, Manchester United has contacted Brighton through the middleman.

Although the Cameroonian player is only 21 years old and has played in only 61 Premier League games, he has quickly proved that he can gain a foothold in this level of competition. Last season, he was one of the most comprehensive midfielders in the Premier League, showing the much-needed traits that Manchester United midfielders need.

Baleba had previously expressed his desire to win trophys, and he is another example of Brighton's excellent scouting system. The Seagull Legion is good at discovering rough jade, carefully cultivating it, and then selling it at a high price.

Although no transfer is guaranteed to be successful, signing players who have proven themselves in the league you are in is much less risky. Cunha and Mbemo are signings for Manchester United, and if Baleba joins Old Trafford, he will also be a signing at the same level.

In recent years, Manchester United has taken risks when introducing overseas players, and the practice of regaining the old path this summer is refreshing. Both Mbemo and Cunha are excellent additions, with the qualities of being successful at Manchester United, which means that Baleba may follow in the footsteps.

This signing strategy rarely disappoints in the Ferguson era.
