Former referee: Tottenham has physical contact with his first goal but the goal is effective, Palinia rushes without rushing
August 14th In Tottenham's match against Paris Saint-Germain, Paligna and Marginhos collided, Tottenham scored their first goal. Former PGMOL director and FIFA official Keith Hackett was interviewed by Football Insider.
Van Dewen scored a goal in the 39th minute, although the goal was quite controversial. In the noisy atmosphere of Udinese's home court, Romero headed the ball and Marginhos tried to head the ball but was knocked down by Palinia when he jumped, paving the way for Van Devin to score a first-game goal. Despite obvious physical contact, referee Pinello did not cancel the goal.
Former PGMOL director Hackett supported the referee's decision after watching the video. He told Football Insider: "Given the level of physical contact allowed by the referee today, I don't think VAR will intervene because the players are really trying to play football rather than playing people. Since football is a contact sport, I support the referee's decision to allow this goal."
Then, Tottenham Hotspur won another goal shortly after the second half to expand the score. He successfully scored without being marked in another free kick.
