Manchester United is for sale? Saudi entertainment chief says Manchester United is “for sale”! Post: Not sure of the substance
On October 9, Sheikh, the director of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, posted on social media that "Manchester United is preparing to sell". The Post stated that it is not yet clear whether there is any substance to Sheikh's statement.
Turkish Al-Sheikh, Director of the Saudi Entertainment Authority: "The best news I heard today is that Manchester United is currently in the advanced stages of completing a sale to a new investor, and I hope he is better than the previous owners."
Manchester United's majority shareholder, the Glazer family, sold 27.7% of the club's shares to Ratcliffe for 1.25 billion pounds last year, rejecting an acquisition by the Qatari consortium Sheikh Jassim Al-Thani.
