Huge salary increase! DO: Morgan Rogers will extend his contract with Villa for one year until 2031

On November 7, reporter David Ornstein reported the latest developments in the contract extension between Villa and Morgan Rogers. His contract will be extended by one year based on the expiration date in 2030, and he will also receive a significant salary increase.

The new contract is expected to make Rodgers one of Villa's highest-paid players, reflecting the progress the England international has made at the club since joining from Middlesbrough in February 2024. Rodgers was trained in the youth training systems of West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City. Now he has become a key player under coach Unai Emery and has often played in the England team coached by Tuchel.

Despite the interest in Rogers from top Premier League and foreign teams, the 23-year-old has chosen to follow in the footsteps of teammates McGinn, Cash, Digne and Kamara and sign a new contract with the club in the next few days. Rodgers has a close relationship with Emery and both Villa director of football operations Vida Ghani and co-owner Sawiris were instrumental in retaining the young talent.

After lengthy negotiations, all parties were satisfied with the final agreement, largely due to the good relationship between Vidagani and Rogers' representative Kohansal. Rodgers, for his part, will sign a new contract with Villa for the third time in less than two years.

In August this year, Rogers was named the PFA 2025 Young Player of the Year. So far this season, Rogers has played 15 games on behalf of Villa, contributing 1 goal and 3 assists.
