Manchester United rebuilds the core!
Manchester United coach Amorin has set up a six-man leadership group in the team, with both unexpected and eye-catching losers.
After one of the most disappointing seasons in club history, Amorin is working to rebuild the team’s cohesion, discipline and morale. His performance so far in the preseason shows that his reform measures have begun to show results. He said one of the reasons was that six players were appointed to form a "leadership group" to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
Leadership Group Member
"We now have a leadership group," Amorin revealed to the media during a long question-and-answer session (via the Daily Telegraph). "It's not just Bruno (Fernandez), not just Harry (Maguire), but six people. They are responsible for managing the team."
"Last year, some (trivial) things had to be handled by me, but this season I told them: 'You are dealing with these things. You are taking care of the small problems. You are taking responsibility.'" "Although this is a minor adjustment, I think it helps the team."
"Members include Bruno, Harry, and Lichar (Lisandro Martinez) , Diogo (Dallot), Tom (Heaton) and Noos (Mazlawi). "
" So it's not just the oldest players. Noos was selected because I like his character, and I tried to understand the dynamics of the team and try to touch every corner. They are the people responsible for maintaining order."
New strategy to ensure players are not slacking off. The coach admitted that he has changed the authoritarian management style brought by former coach Tenhager. But that doesn't mean lax discipline or lower expectations. "We have rules, and the rules are not treating players as giant babies," Amorin explained.
"They have children. I treat them as adults, but they have rules now. This will change the way you train." "If you train in the wrong way, I have video clips to show you, and I will show them in front of everyone, so I always have the overall situation."
"If you do poorly in one training session, I will show you the picture. I won't talk to you privately, but (publicly). I will show everything. It does take a lot of energy. But this year I feel that more people (meaning members of the leadership group) are doing this." "I can't do it myself," he added, "they are the people who are responsible for making everyone follow the rules." How many people in the
can firmly sit on the main force?
One interesting thing about this leadership group list is that many of them may and are unconventional starters. For example, Tom Heaton is likely not to get too many appearances this season. Given the excellent form of Yoro and De Ligt, the growth of Eden Heaton and the recovery of Luke Shaw, the "Three M" combinations - Martinez, Mazlawi and Maguire - are unlikely to all sit firmly on the starting eleven roster.
In addition, Amorin is expected to let Amade play right-wingback this season, which may also mean that Dalot will sit on the bench more often. The most eye-catching absence from the list is Casemiro. The former vice captain has extensive experience and is generally expected to be included in the group.
