July 17th According to German media Bild, Newcastle and Liverpool have both joined the battle for Frankfurt striker Ekitic, and the striker most hopes to go to the Reds. The report stated that the transfer tug-of-war around Ekitic has become a bidding war, and Liverpool has also joined the game in addition to Newcastle, and Frankfurt is increasingly hopeful to get the 100 million euros they demand.

According to Biography, the striker wants to transfer to Liverpool. Ekitic is increasingly hoping that the Reds can win this battle. According to Biography, the possibility of the forward transferring to the Reds is getting greater and greater.

It is reported that Liverpool has expressed his willingness to pay the transfer fee it requested. Newcastle is said to have withdrawn from the competition and has placed two other forwards on the inspection list: Osmeen and Nunez.

So far, no oral agreement has been reached between Ekitic and Newcastle, and this is by no means a matter of salary or contract length (probably at least until 2030). On the contrary, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the French striker is not convinced of his transfer to Newcastle.

According to the Biography, the striker even hinted about this in his conversation with the coaching staff in the early stages of preparation. In line with this, negotiations with Newcastle have not made any progress in the past few hours.

What surprised experts even more was that Newcastle had previously issued its first official offer (80 million euros) to Frankfurt. It is obvious: they hope to put huge pressure on Ekitic with this in order to achieve a breakthrough. But Frankfurt did not cooperate.

As previously reported by Biography, sports director Crosher will not accept any offer in principle unless the player informs him that a personal agreement has been reached. Therefore, the 100 million euro offer proposed by Saudi team Riyadh Crescent has not been further followed.

Ekitic clearly puts his hopes on Liverpool, and the Reds are now serious. The defending Premier League champion is continuing to advance negotiations with the players and it is reported that huge progress has been made. The transfer will not fail with Ekitic's will.

And: According to Bild, Liverpool executives led by CEO Edwards have even told Frankfurt that they are willing to pay a higher transfer fee than Newcastle.

Negotiations between Liverpool and Frankfurt will be accelerated further on Thursday and Friday. But Liverpool still seems to be waiting for an agreement with the players in principle before making the first official offer. Therefore, their approach is different from Newcastle.

It is worth noting that Liverpool is still implementing a two-pronged strategy. Because Liverpool has not given up on his hope of introducing Isaac, he is even willing to pay him more than 130 million euros. But Newcastle doesn't want to sell the Swedish striker, and they don't really need the money.

However, the report also stated that if Isaac suddenly insists on transferring to Liverpool, the deal is still possible. That's why Ekitic hasn't rejected Newcastle so far - although he prefers Liverpool.
