The best lineup for the 8th round of the Premier League is released: Welbeck’s old tree blossoms, Amorin misses the best!

Football

After the 8th round of the Premier League, let's take a look at this week's best lineup:

Goalkeeper: Martin Dubravka (Burnley)

Completed a clean sheet in the 2-0 victory over Leeds United. Although he faced 19 shots and the opponent's expected goals (xG) was as high as 2.4, he resolved all dangers and won this key victory for the team. Before the game, I thought Burnley could not win, and thought Leeds United would win easily. Unexpectedly, Burnley's defensive resilience finally prevailed.

Defender: Reece James (Chelsea)

In the 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, his performance as a right back was perfect, showing the leadership of the captain and scoring a goal. Especially when the team performed poorly in the first half, he stabilized the defense, and in the second half he dominated the game with his strength.

Defender: Josh Achampon (Chelsea)

At only 19 years old, he is the future star of Chelsea's central defender position. Although there will always be times when he leaves the starting lineup this season, he was extremely calm in this game, handling the ball and passing the ball impeccably, and completed various defensive tasks perfectly. It is rare for a player of this age to have such an efficient performance.

Defender: Axel Tuanzebe (Burnley)

One of the heroes of Burnley's victory over Leeds United, his performance can be called "monster level". I've always thought it would be interesting to sign a centre-back from a relegated team (especially one who was as injury-riddled as Tuanzebe was last season). He clearly feels at home here, and his partner Kyle Walker is doing equally well.

Defender: Harry Maguire (Manchester United)

In the 2-1 victory over Liverpool, his performance was simply incredible. This man has been questioned countless times, whether as an England player or Manchester United captain - the outside world always seems to regard him as the problem, but in this game he proved himself with his strength. As a central defender, he showed real leadership, did not pursue fancy moves, and was exactly the type the team needed, efficient and top-level.

Defender: Nico O'Reilly (Manchester City)

This young man is thriving. It was originally thought that after Manchester City signed Ryan Aite-Nouri, O'Reilly would be deployed in the midfield, but due to Aite-Nouri's injury, he became more and more courageous at the left back position. He is calm on the ball, his breakthrough ability is frightening, and he also contributed an assist in the 2-0 victory over Everton.

Midfielder: Moises Caicedo (Chelsea)

In the Chelsea game, Caicedo completely changed the situation. When he came on as a substitute at halftime, Chelsea's performance was 20% to 30% worse than their opponents, but after he came on, the team's condition instantly improved - solid ball control, solid defense, and Chelsea scored immediately. It can be said that he is one of the best defensive midfielders in world football, at least ranked in the top four. Without him, Chelsea will struggle.

Midfield: Yehor Yarmolyuk (Brentford)

He could do it all in Monday's win over West Ham United. His performance is stable and efficient, his playing style is elegant and he always gets the job done. There were actually three or four midfielders who were eligible for selection, but he was ultimately chosen.

Forward: Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

This man setting new records is like picking something out of a bag. His goalscoring figures in the Premier League are outrageous, and to have such a performance only in October is simply shocking. He can easily score 50 goals this season.

Forward: Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)

It may sound a little crazy, but even though he scored a hat-trick in the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth, he almost missed the selection due to an empty-net goal just before the end - a goal that could have sealed the victory for the team. However, with his hat trick and his previous good form of scoring goals for the French team, he was still successfully selected.

Forward: Danny Welbeck (Brighton)

scored two goals for Brighton and even led to discussions about the possibility of his return to the England team - although it is unlikely. He performed well in the 2-1 victory over Newcastle and became more motivated as he played. It seems that the older he gets, the more passionate he is about football.

Best head coach: Unai Emery (Aston Villa)

His team conceded a goal first against Tottenham in the away game, but reversed the situation through tactical adjustments and eventually won 2-1.

Player of the Week

Jean-Philippe Mateta

Matheta was the absolute protagonist in Saturday's six-goal battle at Selhurst Park. The fiery French striker scored a hat-trick against Bournemouth and became the first player in Crystal Palace history to score 50 times in the Premier League (43 goals and 8 assists, 51 times in total).

He scored two of the three Premier League hat-tricks in the history of Crystal Palace, and with his penalty kick before the end, he became the first player to score his third goal and equalize the score in the 90th minute since West Bromwich Albion player Solomon Joy against Newcastle in May 2011.

Unfortunately, Mateta's hat trick failed to help the home team take all three points. He also became the first player to perform a hat trick at home in the Premier League but failed to win since Andy Carroll (West Ham United 3-3 Arsenal) in April 2016.

Matteta had a total of 6 excellent opportunities (scoring 3 goals) throughout the game, which is the same as the Premier League's historical record (since statistics were collected in the 2010-11 season).
