The transfer focus of Serie A giants Inter Milan and Premier League team Chelsea and the transfer trends of Blues star Vega

Serie A giants Inter Milan is committed to improving the team's offensive strength by introducing high-quality strikers, after Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku was on their list of signings. However, the Nerazzurri seems reluctant to advance transfer negotiations with Nkunku, which is closely related to their ongoing negotiations with Atlanta star Ademora Lukeman.

According to Gazzetta.it, Inter Milan and Atlanta are in a deadlock on Lukeman's negotiations. Although they offered the African footballer's offer of 45 million euros, the offer was deemed insufficient by Atlanta and was rejected. However, Inter Milan has reached an agreement with Lukeman on personal terms, which makes them temporarily reluctant to negotiate with Chelsea on Nkunku. The Nerazzurri intends to wait until the later stage of the transfer window to observe whether Atlanta's position will change before deciding whether to turn to other goals.

It is worth mentioning that Nkunku's agent team has been negotiating with Inter Milan, and the French international was originally planning to transfer to Italy this summer. Nkunku's football career in England failed to make a deep mark, with multiple factors leading him to prepare to leave Stamford Bridge this season. Chelsea, on the other hand, has listed Xavi Simmons and Alejandro Garnacho as signing targets this summer, a move that also shows that they are ready to part ways with the versatile French striker. Looking back, Nkunku had contacted some Premier League teams and Bayern Munich in January. He has since joined the Blues in UEFA UEFA UEFA Europa League and FIFA Club World Cup and helped the team win the championship. Now he is about to end his disappointing journey in England, with Inter Milan once one of his possible next homes.

In addition to Nkunku, another Chelsea player, Renato Vega, also has transfer updates. Vega is reportedly attracting interest from the Saudi professional league after failing to successfully transfer to Atletico Madrid. The 21-year-old Portuguese international has fallen out of favor over the past year on Chelsea's seven-year contract, so he will leave the Blues this summer. Reporter Ben Jacobs revealed that Vega may soon follow Joao Felix's footsteps to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia’s top club is closely following the former Football Club player who joined Chelsea for about €14 million last summer. Vega was loaned to Juventus in the second half of the 2024-25 season, but was excluded from the first team after returning to Stamford Bridge. Moreover, with Jorell Harto coming to Stamford Bridge, Vega is not expected to return to Chelsea's first team.
