Caboni: Serious injury surgery has made me more mature, Inter Milan and coach Zivo have always trusted me

You scored the final goal in the Club World Cup group stage between Inter Milan and Urawa Red Diamonds, and you have gotten rid of the impact of your previous serious injury

To be honest, I didn't expect it myself. The injury was a very heavy blow before, but being able to play at Inter and score a goal exceeded my expectations and I just need to be a player now. My career went so fast before the injury surgery, maybe I was having some difficulty dealing with it all. But now I know that everything happens in life has a reason. Despite my pain, I saw the positive side of this cruciate ligament surgery, which helped me become more mature and progressive. As a person and as a player, I became more comprehensive. I feel muscles and spirits are stronger and more motivated than I used to be.

You were loaned to Marseille last season, but you were seriously injured soon after

I don't know what would happen if you didn't get hurt. Indeed, that was a good opportunity to make a leap. Coach Dezelby also wanted me very much, but he suffered an injury... Now I started over with my enthusiasm for this Club World Cup. We also played against a strong Argentina team, but I am 100% Inter fan.

Which position do you think is the best position for yourself?

I am an attacking midfielder, which is what the Argentinian calls a classical midfielder. But it is difficult to find a team that plays in this formation now, so players like me often have to change to play in the sidelines and front midfielders. Maybe in the future I will play this position regularly and participate in the offense more.

Inter Milan's team building strategy is changing, and she attaches more importance to young players. Do you think now is the right time for you to return?

It's a wonderful time, maybe they will pay more attention to us than they did in the past. And now Inter Milan coach is Zivo, who is used to working with young players. We just need to work hard to get opportunities, and if we deserve it, we will get opportunities. But we must always remember that this is Inter. With so many champions, it is never easy to win the competition. Sometimes you also need to go to other teams to hone your abilities first, and then return to this place.

Do you think you will be loaned out again this summer?

I don't know, it's too early to talk about this. Now we have to play in the Club World Cup, and then the training camp before next season, before we can determine whether to stay in the team. Regardless of the solution, I know Inter trusted and always trusted me, just like Zivo's attitude towards me.

Do you remember the first time you talked to Ziwo?

I was 16 years old at that time. It was in January that he called me to the Inter Milan youth team. I was not yet an adult at that time, so he gave me the chance to play for the first time. He trusted me from the beginning and I will always be grateful to him. Now that I meet him again, he has become even better, he has gained more experience in every aspect over the years and has a great coaching team that can help him. He asked me the same as before, and he wanted me to play happily and maybe shoot more.

He is the captain and a role model, not only words, but also actions. He was so happy for me to score, and he was there when I had rehabilitation before, and he knew what I had been through and what it meant to me to be here.

Messi once praised you for being "this guy is different", how do you feel about it?

This was incredible, but I didn't realize it at that moment because everything was going too fast at that time. But when you get hurt, you will recall the wonderful things, and in the recovery, in order to cheer myself up, I will listen to those praises again. I still remember Messi calling me before the Copa America. I hope to return to the Argentina national team one day in the future.
