Comeback is imminent! Turkish media: Shahin is close to coaching the Turkish Super League team Barcelona Seksehir

Hupu September 12th reported that about eight months after leaving Dortmund, Nuri Shahin is about to return to the coaching seat, and the former Dortmund coach will travel to Türkiye. According to Turkish media "Sözcü", the 37-year-old coach has reached a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Istanbul's club Barcelona Sözcü. According to reports, the club has scheduled to officially announce the appointment of the new coach next Monday local time.

Other Turkish media have also recently reported on negotiations between Barcelona Seksehir and Shahin. At present, these negotiations seem to have ended successfully. Barcelona Ksehir parted ways with his former coach Kagdas Attan this Monday. The 45-year-old coach started the season with only two points in two league games. The club announced in an official statement that the two sides parted ways "with the consent of both parties." The statement added: "We want to thank Kagdas Atan, and we wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career."

In his first season, Atan and Barcelona qualify for the European Cup with fifth place in the Turkish Premier League. In the 2024/2025 season, Barcelona Ksehir once again won fifth place in the league, but this time he missed the European game, which may be one of the reasons why Atan was fired.
