Romano: Neymar has been recommended to Inter Milan and Napoli, but it may still come true in the future

Hupu reported on October 14 that well-known transfer reporter Romano revealed that Brazilian star Neymar was recommended to Inter Milan and Naples in Serie A in the transfer market this summer.

Romano pointed out that the news behind the scenes can be traced back to May this year. At that time, Neymar's team was seeking opportunities for players to return to Europe's top leagues and made proposals to many Italian clubs. Although both Inter Milan and Napoli seriously evaluated the proposal, no concrete negotiations were ultimately launched.

"Neymar was proposed to several Italian teams, including Inter Milan," Romano said. "However, the Nerazzurri's priority target at the time was Lukeman, and Naples also chose other directions after evaluation."

Currently, the 32-year-old Neymar has returned to his old club Santos in Brazil after recovering from injury, but his contract will expire at the end of this season. Romano believes Neymar could be offered a move to a European club again in the coming months, with Serie A sides still keeping an eye on him.

With the 2026 World Cup approaching, the former Paris and Barcelona superstar hopes to return to the European arena and regain his peak form. Romano said: "This is not a fantasy, the possibility of Neymar returning to Europe still exists."
